5 pages in your bullet journal that create an overview

A bullet journal can be much more than just a diary. It can be your most important tool for creating structure and calm in everyday life. Here are five pages you can make in your bullet journal that will help you gain an overview.

1. Weekly overview

A weekly overview gives you a complete picture of what is going to happen over the next few days. You can write appointments, tasks, focus areas and room for notes. Many people use a page or two per week.

2. To-do list

A classic to-do list gets tasks out of your head and onto paper. You can make a list for the day, week or projects. Try using symbols or colours to distinguish between types of tasks. You can find more tips in our guide to making a to-do list that doesn't overwhelm you.

3. Priority list

It is easy to write down 20 tasks. The difficult thing is knowing what is most important. A page with your top 3 tasks or main focus areas helps you to choose and, not least, to omit.

4. Vane-tracker (habit tracker)

Would you like to drink more water, exercise every day or get your sleep sorted? A habit tracker provides an overview of your daily habits and small progress. You can make a simple chart and tick it off every day.

5. Key times with focus

An effective way to create an overview is to set aside specific times for focused work. Make a page in your bullet journal with blocks for, e.g., “morning focus” and “afternoon calm”. You can write down which tasks you want to tackle in each block and reserve time for breaks. It helps you structure your day and avoid multitasking.
