Summer in your bullet journal: 7 ideas for July pages

July is summer, slow mornings, bright evenings and perhaps a little more breathing space in the calendar. It is an ideal opportunity to make room for all the things you don't get round to in everyday life. This also applies to journaling.

Here are seven suggestions for pages you can make in your bullet journal in July. You don't have to make them all, but maybe there's a single one that appeals to you.

1. Monthly page with a summer theme

Start with a nice cover page or overview for July. For example, use sun, flowers, ice cream or holiday vibes as a theme. You can write your goals, important dates or just make a mood page with washi tape and stickers.

2. Summer goals or intentions

Make a list of things you would like to do during the summer. It can be anything from “take more ice cream breaks” to “go for a walk without a phone”. Keep it simple and cosy.

3. Reading list or reading journal

July is perfect for deep focus. Create a page with books you want to read, notes from the books you are currently reading or quotes you would like to remember. You can also combine it with your reading journal.

4. Mini travel journal

Even though you are not on holiday, you can make a travel-inspired page. Write about a place you have visited, or one you dream of. Paste in receipts, pictures or maps.

5. Summer reminder

Create a collage or diary page with your favourite memories from July. Use pictures, drawings, descriptions or keywords. It doesn't need to be a major layout, just something you want to remember.

6. Tracker for summer joy

Instead of tracking habits, you can track all the weird and wonderful things: sunny days, laughs, ice cream, time with girlfriends, books read, good meals. It gives a positive overview of your month.

7. Gratitude page

Create a page where you write a little thing every day that you are grateful for. It could be “shade under a tree”, “strawberries” or “that I had time to read”.
